Motivating young readers to celebrate reading
as a way to excel in school and succeed in life...

The Chuck4Short Foundation, 501(c)(3), is a locally owned and operated nonprofit organization committed to improving the reading readiness for kids K-3 to ensure they reach grade level literacy. Our organization focuses on high needs areas by creates fun ways to read and learn by crafting moral-based storybooks, providing free books to the community, and offering literacy/mentoring services to help children learn to read and succeed. We view reading as a way to improve academically, build confidence socially, and learn about things that spark kid's passions and interests. Our various programs and events give them exposure to different types of career fields and paths; promoting reading as a tool and pathway to current and future success.

On Sunday, September 5th, 2021, The Chuck4Short Foundation, Inc. will host our Life, Love & Literacy Father Daughter date series sponsored by BiG | Business Integration Group.

This year we’ve created a festival environment for Dads & Daughters to share fun experiences while giving back to the community. We will be collecting and donating backpacks and school supplies to benefit kids & families supported by United Communities Against Poverty in Prince George’s Co.

With proper resources at their disposal, students find the confidence to return to school day in and day out. Teachers, too, are empowered to do their best work when they are supported by the resources they need to maintain effective, equitable learning environments.
